Valentine's Day Dinner
So happy to be together...in paradise! 
Getting ready for a fun-filled weekMike and I, along with our dearest friends Kevin and Denell left cold MN for Grand Cayman on Valentine's Day! What a perfect day to leave...there really couldn't be anything more romantic than spending that special day in paradise. Plus, no kids...which meant we were able to focus on one another and get through an entire conversation without being interrupted.
We had a direct flight this time, which was awesome! The flight was about 4 hours. So with the time change, we arrived at about 4:30. The feeling you get when you step off the plane is close to indescribable. The warm sunshine, palm trees, and blue skies have a way of taking all the stress away. Instantly, my life changes...my shoulders relax and all the to do list items in my head vanish.
We were shuttled to our hotel by the owner of the rental car company. She is a riot- and great at updating us with how life has been on the island. We stopped at the grocery store, unpacked, and were at the dock bar in time for a nice Valentine's dinner. It was very relaxing to sit and listen to the ocean, while music serenaded us. We had a chance to visit, laugh, and spend quality time together. After dinner, we met up with my mom and Bruce for cocktails and games. Catch Phrase had all of us in stitches. Mike and I took a walk on the beach under the starlit sky before turning in for the night. It was a great first day in paradise...and a perfect way to spend Valentine's Day!
