Friend Filled Weekend

We had fantastic friend-filled weekend.

On Friday night, the kids went to a kid party at Northcrest Gymnastics. The facility hosts a party for the kids the first Friday of the month, so parents can get a night out. We had dinner with the Kruse's and the Stein's at Green Mill. The men went to pick up the kids, so we could do a little shopping at Herberger's before going back to the Connie and Aaron's house for a playdate. The kids had a blast...and we actually got to have a relaxing meal w/out the kids.

On Saturday, Nolan spent the morning at a birthday party. He got to go to Bounce Depot and Space Aliens with four of his friends. Lilly and I had a fun time doing girl things together. She was a perfect little shopper. Picking out new nail polish and chapstick was her highlight, mine was listening to her tell me how much she liked every item of clothing I tried on. If you ever want to feel good about yourself, just take a two year old girl into the dressing room with you...everything is pretty! =0) We continued our girly girl morning by playing beauty salon when we got home. Each of her hands and feet are painted a different color- she just had to try them all out!

We helped Kevin celebrate his 35th birthday at Zizzorts near our house after supper. We got a babysitter (from across the hall) and headed to the pizza place for their comedy show. Many belly laughs were achieved and we all had a wonderful time.

Happy Birthday Kevin!

Mike and I had a great date night!

Friends Forever

It has been way too long since I've last seen Heidi. She is one of my dear highschool friends. We don't get together as much as we'd like to, but when we do...we are able to pick up right where we left off. We had so much to talk about that there wasn't a moment of silence between us the entire five hours she was here. It was great having time to catch up with her. Her kids are the same age as Nolan and Lilly, so they hit it off every time they're together. We enjoyed the pool and racquetball court once again, and had pizza together in the community room before they headed back to the cities.

We have been blessed with many friends and are thankful for them all!
