Egg Egg-travaganza

The kids participated in an Egg Egg-travaganza at our church this morning. The event was held to teach children of all ages the real reason we celebrate Easter. Stations were set up around the church for children to take part in. They made bracelets, stained glass windows, colors of faith crosses, and nail crosses. They also planted flowers to represent the new life we all have in Jesus. The kids also put together a bag of jelly beans and learned what each of the different colors symbolized in The Jelly Bean Prayer. They enjoyed cupcakes and punch during story time, and got to assemble their very own "Resurrection Eggs" to take home. They filled a dozen plastic eggs with small trinkets that will help them retell the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter time each year. A chocolate egg hunt in the church ended the egg-travaganza... it was a beautiful morning to learn about the true meaning of Easter.
