Mike was at it again this weekend...back to Wisconsin he went for the ever so famous Fat Tire Festival. This race is an annual event for Mike and all of his mountain biking buddies. Charlie Schad, Jon Kern, Mark Halstrom, and various others joined in the weekend fun. Why anyone would get excited to bike forty, grueling miles through the woods on an early, hot, Saturday morning is beyond me, but they all look forward to competing in it each year and always leave happy. Mike enjoyed his ride...didn't get his best time (3:05), but had fun none the less. He felt extremely tired about half way through the race and wonders if he didn't suffer from mild heat exhaustion. Honestly, I get exhausted just thinking about it...but Mike has done enough races to know when his body doesn't feel quite right. He took an afternoon nap, ate a hearty dinner, and was able to recuperate fairly quickly. We are very proud of you dad!
