Today was a big day for our little girl. Lilly is now a pre-schooler...and pretty excited about it. She has been talking about being in school like her big brother and her mom for quite some time now...and today it became a reality. It is hard for me to believe that I am the mother of two school aged children! Wow, have they grown up fast! As excited as Lilly was to go, she did get a little nervous when we dropped her off. Mike stayed with her in the classroom for a few minutes until she was comfortable and told her he would be back soon to pick her up. I luckily have my break at the time she gets picked up, so I too got to greet her when she came out of class. The smile on her face was priceless. The moment she saw us, she rushed right into our arms for a big hug. In less than 30 seconds, her backpack was unzipped...and out came her blanket! She hugged her blankie as tight as she could and smiled the whole way out of the school. The blankie not only brought her comfort, but it made me realize that we still have our "little" girl. We love you sweetie and wish you a fun-filled year!
First Day of Preschool
